Máquinas Furlan celebrates 63 years of history and overcoming challenges

Limeira, March 14th – THE Furlan Machines celebrates 63 years of history and, 3 years ago, the end of a long judicial recovery process – a cycle that lasted 6 years and marked the beginning of a new era of growth and innovation. Recognized for delivering complete solutions for mining, the company has invested in modernization and expansion to meet the needs of its customers.
To mark its 63rd anniversary, Furlan is introducing a new brand positioning, with the slogan 'Essential for mining'. “Our slogan allows us to talk about the essence of everything that adds value to Furlan's products and services. We are much more than a supplier of mining equipment; we are an indispensable partner for the success of our customers. We are passionate about what we do, respectful of our customers and vocation as a purpose, and that is why we are essential for mining”, explains Elisangela Moriggi de Abreu, the company's marketing and market intelligence coordinator.
The company's infrastructure is also undergoing an intense modernization process. The new equipment and warehouse, which has a mineralogical laboratory, total 3,000 m², and the incorporation of six welding robots planned for 2025 reinforces this transformation.
In 2024, the Master Plan received R$6.8 million and, in 2025, the forecast is R$15 million, within a total investment of R$50 million planned until 2028. These investments enable, among other advances, the improvement of production processes with the use of artificial intelligence software, which simulates the operation of plants and adjusts equipment capacities, in addition to the modernization of processes in the foundry and the intensification of preventive maintenance to reduce production stoppages.
“Modern equipment, anticipation of demands and increased use of Artificial Intelligence in our processes are goals that we have been relentlessly pursuing throughout our trajectory. Automation is already a reality in our day-to-day activities and in the projects we offer, ensuring efficiency and safety in accordance with NR-12 standards,” explains the CEO, Valter Furlan . With this vision of the future, he reinforces the company's commitment to operational excellence and safety in the workplace, where the 400 employees are located.

In addition to investments in technology and modernization, the company also invests in team development. The creation of Furlan University and the partnership with Unicamp, through CIESP/Limeira, reinforce the company's commitment to integrating new employees into the organizational culture and developing synergies between the Equipment, Foundry and Services areas. Part of the resources will also be directed to succession planning and preparing the third generation of the family, with the support of the Dom Cabral Foundation in training new leaders.
