Tradição em reformas impulsiona modernização da Máquinas Furlan

Tradition in renovations drives modernization of Máquinas Furlan

Máquinas Furlan strengthens its operations with equipment refurbishment services. A reference in the crushing, grinding, classification and material transportation market, the company serves both its own and third-party equipment, with a broad portfolio of wear and replacement parts.

According to engineer Wagner Francisco, who works as a sales support in Furlan's service area, the process begins with a detailed technical diagnosis, with laboratory tests such as metallographic analysis, ultrasound and liquid penetrant. "These techniques allow us to identify microcracks, structural wear and other problems that could compromise the performance of the equipment," he explains.

The most common demands involve jaw and cone crushers, ball mill bearings and hammer mill rotors, but the company is prepared to evaluate any equipment used in mining or aggregate production. “Refurbishment can range from one-off replacements to complete overhauls, always with the aim of returning the equipment to its original design condition. This premise of Furlan even applies to large rotors, weighing more than 70 tons,” highlights Wagner.

An important difference is the possibility of preparing customized quotes without having to send the equipment in advance. Furlan carries out technical visits, discusses the scope with the client and, based on this meeting, prepares a technical proposal for the renovation. “This model avoids the cost and time of initial disassembly and already provides a realistic view of the investment required”, comments the engineer. During the renovations, technological upgrades are also offered, such as replacing electric rotors with more efficient versions or updating hydraulic systems. The type of steel used in the castings can be reassessed, increasing wear resistance and extending the useful life of the components.

In addition to on-demand refurbishment, Furlan has adopted an innovative strategy: it accepts used machines as part payment, which are refurbished and kept in stock for sale, rental or loan, supplying customers who do not have spare equipment.

Another step forward with Wagner’s arrival on the team was the creation of a new business front to serve the recyclables segment. Furlan already supplies hammers, drums and refurbishes rotors, drums and mills for several companies, as well as scrap dealers. “Furlan is prepared to serve all of Brazil with complete solutions for the recycling sector, an area that is expanding rapidly within the company,” says Wagner, who has 34 years of experience in the sector.

At the end of each service, Furlan carries out a technical delivery on site, monitoring the equipment startup to ensure that it operates in ideal conditions and with complete safety.
