Sales Meeting: the importance of “a strong root” in supplying the mining industry

Máquinas Furlan held its traditional Sales Meeting between March 19 and 21 at its headquarters in the city of Limeira (SP). This year, the meeting's motto was the expression “Strong Roots”, with emphasis on the phrase: “continuity is essential”.

“A strong root is synonymous with a stable and perennial structure, from which a tree, even after many years, draws its solidity, remaining connected to its primordial values”, explained the event organizers. Four pillars were highlighted in this regard:

. Memory;

. Gratitude;

. Values;

. and Continuity.

The company has been operating for 63 years in the supply of mining equipment and parts. The “memory” aspect highlighted the teachings of Geraldo Furlan, the company’s founder who passed away in 2016. “All of his teachings remain alive in each of us,” the presentation emphasizes.

Recognition refers to feelings. “Without gratitude to God, life and people, there is no victory”. The term “values” reinforces that “Strong Roots are the essence, the non-negotiable. The most important inheritance we can receive and transmit: example”.

Regarding continuity, the presentation highlighted that “everything begins and remains firm at the root, including new generations. Just like DNA, it is the root that transmits, nourishes and makes it bear fruit”.

“Roots to provide complete solutions for beneficiating minerals”

The Sales Meeting is one of the most important activities on Furlan's calendar. It has been held since the company's early years. This edition was attended by sales representatives from several Brazilian states.

During the event, CEO Valter Furlan emphasized that the company has established a set of practices that have allowed it to strengthen its roots. Thus, Furlan continues to fulfill its mission, which is to “provide complete solutions for mineral processing.”

For Valter, “our job is to help customers transform minerals into valuable products, offering efficient and safe equipment”.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Wagner Furlan, highlighted that the company's solidity comes from its focus on actions related to ESG and profitability. “For us, the vision that we must grow in a sustainable way is clear.”

Investments in quality policy

The scenario highlighted by the company's executives is also the result of constant investments in the quality of Furlan's products and services. During the Meeting, most of the presentations reinforced that the company's quality policy is one of its main differentiators when compared to its competitors.

On this topic, the improvement of the Foundry's production processes, driven by Furlan's Metallurgical Excellence, has already been highlighted here on the blog as one of the brand's major differentiators in the manufacture of machines and parts for mining plants.

“Each project we develop adds value to our customers, employees, shareholders and the community through the continuous improvement of the company’s management system,” said Valter. “We work to always improve, ensuring quality in everything we do.”

The content of the Meeting also highlighted Furlan’s values ​​– respect, loyalty, equity, ethics and professionalism.

In the “Conversation Circles”, customer suggestions

Structural issues were also addressed, such as the company's strategic planning and master plan. Participants also learned details about the innovations adopted in the Castings and Equipment areas.

The representatives presented the customers’ perceptions in two moments, called “Discussion Circles”. The interaction also allowed the team working at the industrial park in Limeira to evaluate the tools available to promote new advances in the more than 150 pieces of equipment present in Furlan’s catalog.
