“Encontro de Vendas”: Furlan reforça conexão entre tradição e modernidade

“Sales Meeting”: Furlan reinforces connection between tradition and modernity

Máquinas Furlan took advantage of the 2024 edition of the “Sales Meeting” to reinforce the connection between tradition and modernity as one of its organizational objectives. The Furlan team presented to the group of sales representatives the measures recently adopted, such as investments in personnel and in the industrial unit, located in Limeira (SP).

At the same time, representatives shared customer impressions of Furlan's products and services. The alignment of Furlan's solutions with the objectives of quarries and mining companies was praised. Productivity and cost reduction are some of the benefits resulting from the company's technical expertise.

The meeting in Limeira, between March 13th and 15th, had as its slogan “the essence that builds the future”, in reference to the fragrance presented by the company to its employees at the end of last year – see here .

This time, representatives from all over Brazil were introduced to the fragrance, which is used, for example, at trade fair stands and in the company's internal environments. “This essence is what makes Furlan unique and different in the market, the result of its history of resilience and courage,” said Valter Zutin Furlan, CEO of the company.

Company turns 62: family heritage is reinforced

The event also celebrated the company's 62nd anniversary. Today, it is one of the leading suppliers of equipment, accessories and steel castings for the mining industry. The family tradition chosen by founder Geraldo Furlan is being maintained.

“The company bears our family name, which is the most precious thing we have. And we honor this legacy every day, working with seriousness and dedication,” says Wagner Zutin Furlan, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Geraldo, Wagner and Valter's father, passed away in 2016. Today, the third generation already works at the company.

However, alignment with modernity is necessary. Furlan's purpose, highlighted during the event, states: “to promote sustainable and qualitative development in the mining industry, promoting well-being and comfort for current and future generations”.

“We are continually improving this purpose, to bring in new customers and strengthen relationships with industries that are already with us,” said Valter.

Investments in production and staff

Gustavo Furlan, Commercial Area Manager, highlights aspects of this progress. “We have a proactive team of employees who respect tradition and look to the future at the same time. This way, we have gained the trust of our customers, which is reflected in the results.”

Investments in the production line and people management are expected to increase by 77% between 2023 and 2024. At the end of last year, the team of employees had grown by nearly 50% compared to the 2022 figure.

Improving product and service solutions in a market where consultative sales predominate is one of the goals of this growth. Staff recruitment is strategic. Sales planning has gained strength in the day-to-day business.

New equipment and parts

The action also involves the creation of the Master Plan for the company's headquarters, which will be essential for diagnosing, planning and managing resources and strategies. More than growth, Furlan seeks a structured leap in its results.

This scenario will include better organization of information, which reinforces, for example, the greater durability of Furlan parts. A case bank is being fed, improving the visualization of the results generated by a given solution offered in parts.

In the Equipment Division, in addition to the case bank that assists in decision-making, new developments include improvements in the machinery used for the production of minerals, aggregates for civil construction and agricultural inputs.

The market will also receive news regarding the implementation of complete plants, projects developed entirely by Furlan and which are already highlights for 31 clients.

“We are grateful to everyone who helped us on this journey and we are at the disposal of our customers, suppliers and employees, so that we can continue to improve continuously, a practice that is at our core,” said Valter Furlan.
