On December 9, Máquinas Furlan launched its essence. The fragrance reinforces the company's commitment to offering solutions to customers in the mining sector, highlighting values such as resilience, courage and transparency in relationships.
The launch took place during the company's end-of-year employee celebration. The essence is one of the forms of communication of Furlan's corporate culture, which has completed 61 years of activities.
Furlan is a leading supplier of mining equipment and steel parts. Over time, it has gained market share by adopting a culture of helping its mining customers succeed.
This operating format has transformed the Furlan industrial park into practically 3 “different” factories. These are the units focused on Equipment, Services and Foundry. The space brings together operations that generate a complete solution for quarries and mining companies.
“Our corporate culture has made us strong as steel. We have employees who are both warm and efficient. But everything needs to be improved, so we reinforce our commitment to being lifelong learners,” said the company’s CEO, Valter Zutin Furlan.
“The word that best defines our day-to-day is commitment. We are grateful for the commitment of each of our employees,” adds the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Wagner Zutin Furlan.

The Furlan essence will be used in customer contact areas, such as stands at trade fairs and rooms at the headquarters in Limeira (SP). The perfume combines aromas of jasmine, orange blossom, bergamot, thyme, mandarin, musk and cedar.
The intention is for the essence to create a feeling of welcome and growth, thus reflecting the concepts of family, values and resilience.
Tribute to employees and memories of the founder
During the event, the trajectory of founder Geraldo Furlan was remembered. Mr. Geraldo, as he was known, passed away in 2016. There were also tributes to employees.
One of those honored was Fernando Carezia Martins, who has been with the company since he was 16 years old. Almost 25 years later, he considers the factory an extension of his home.
“The relationship between Furlan employees is very good. I also took many courses and had the opportunity to grow, going from assistant to production leader in the Equipment area,” he says.
This encouragement comes mainly from the Furlan family, according to Fernando. “There is a plan based on the points that each person needs to improve,” he says.
The production leader remembers the job interview conducted by Geraldo Furlan himself, and the work card signed by Dalva Furlan. Today, the couple's grandchildren also work at the company.
Pamela Pereira has worked in different areas, such as Tax, Finance and Warehouse. Today, after 7 years at Furlan, she is the Logistics Coordinator.
“I started as an intern and I improved my skills. I completed two college degrees and a postgraduate degree. There is a great deal of unity in the company. There is always a collective purpose, that of ‘developing together’,” says Pamela.
The employee who has been with the company the longest and is still working follows the same path. The story of Dionilson Enedino Correia, who has been with the company for 34 years, is similar: he started as a production assistant and worked in several departments, until he now works as a forklift operator.
“There were many courses. I also worked in all the sectors of the Foundry”, says Dionilson. When he arrived in Limeira, in the 1980s, the young man from Bahia sent his resume to several companies. He ended up being called by two of them at the same time. He chose Furlan.
Dionilson recalls that there were many challenges, such as economic crises and the lack of raw materials and electricity in the country. “Sometimes, there were no orders in the company. But Geraldo would go to our department, gather everyone together and talk about hope, that we would overcome those difficulties. And we did,” says the forklift operator.
The book that tells the story of Geraldo and the company
The tributes included Mrs. Dalva Furlan, now 93 years old and with 48 years of formal registration in the company – although she contributed from the beginning with her husband Geraldo.
The same goes for brothers Wagner and Valter Furlan. Also honored, they have 31 years of experience with the company, but they helped their father when they were teenagers.
This trajectory is reported in a book released last year.
The celebration also included a special blessing by Father Alquermes Valvassori and a musical performance by the duo Eduardo and Rafael. The event took place at the headquarters of APAE Limeira, reinforcing another characteristic of Furlan: supporting charitable organizations in the municipality.
