Furlan Machines presents complete solutions in equipment and parts at Brasmin

Productivity in the plant and durability in equipment and worn parts. These are the two main trends that have gained strength in the mining industry in recent years, due to the need for greater profitability in business and reduction of operating costs.

These objectives guided Máquinas Furlan’s participation in the second edition of the Mining Industry Fair, Brasmin, in Goiânia. The company recently celebrated 61 years of operation as one of the main suppliers of machines and parts for the mining industry. The experience is a development of improvement projects, since Furlan presents complete solutions that guarantee the success of the client, including quarries that operate in the production of aggregates for construction.

"The future of mining depends on increased productivity and durability of plant items. That's why we're bringing our complete equipment solutions to Brasmin," says Gustavo Furlan, the company's sales manager. "As experienced manufacturers, we offer everything from wear parts to new, robust equipment. These are essential conditions for medium and small-scale mining companies looking to take their projects to the next level," he says.

Between July 27 and 29, the stand will present details of more than 150 models of Furlan brand crushing, grinding and screening equipment. A Castings area works with more than 12 thousand models of wear and regularization parts, from national and international brands.

Complete and customized solutions

“A complete solution allows us to offer mining companies the best alternative for implementing or expanding their production line,” says Gustavo. The company’s industrial park in Limeira (SP) brings together a single space for operations that generate this complete solution. Furlan is a specialist in each stage of the production of a machine or wear part – such as steel manufacturing, heat treatment, machining, boilermaking and equipment assembly.

The system allows Furlan Foundry to have one of its main clients in the company's own equipment production area. "We can offer mining companies a customized solution, since we have the flexibility to define how to develop the project delivered by the client. This is essential for small and medium-sized companies", emphasizes Gustavo.

Furlan has always emphasized quality as one of its differentiators. Mining is one of the most demanding industrial sectors when it comes to metallurgical excellence, since it operates in harsh conditions. Furlan alloys are tested internally, using a modern laboratory.

The technology also involves the use of mass balance software, which allows the simulation of plant operation and adjustment of equipment capacities. The focus is on improving working conditions – the changes have reduced dust emissions in the operation of Furlan's MM80F1 Hammer Mills.

Experience and customization in offering solutions also help with serial improvements. One of the company's launches, the Furlan CC XT Cone Crusher line leaves the factory generating 30% more productivity . 

The extensive portfolio of machines also allows Furlan to offer the market complete crushing, grinding, milling and calcination plants. The development of the plant by a single supplier boosts productivity and reduces unscheduled downtime.

Latin American customers have already approved of Mobile Crushing. Several mobile units have been purchased by infrastructure companies in Paraguay.

Programming in parts replacement

The wear and replacement parts sector goes beyond quality. Furlan developed the “Parts in Advance” project, a planning process that generates inadequate speed, or that allows the plant to resume production in a shorter time, and saves working capital, since there is no need to accumulate replacement parts in the mining company’s warehouse.

Integration generates progress. The Technical Assistance and Sales Support areas bring customer needs to the Engineering and Production stage. This has allowed, for example, the faces of the hammers and grates to be better utilized, due to the symmetrical way in which they are arranged in the mills.

Equipment renovation can be accompanied by improvements that not only update but also increase the machine's performance. The company's Services area will also be present at Brasmin.

The stand's purpose is to present complete solutions that meet the profile of the fair's participants, which will also promote the eighth edition of the National Meeting of Medium and Small Mining.
